People on the move residing in Katsikas refugee camp and the Katsikas-Ioannina region; local makers; international visitors
Situated at 200m from the so-called Katsikas Hopsitality Centre – a refugee camp hosting roughly 1000 people on the move – Habibi.Works has been present since 2016 to act as a platform for empowerment, education and community.
Through participation in this intercultural space, individuals are equipped with tools, material and expert know-how to make their ideas a reality in any one of our 15 working areas.
Besides practical support on the ground, the project aims to raise awareness around the lived reality for people on the move and mobilise civil society to defend refugee rights as well as challenge anti-migration policies and rhetoric.
