In my rural household, guests are welcome on Sundays for a nice homemade lunch prepared in front of them. Considering that the household adheres to the principles of the minimum waste concept, the lunch is served and prepared without the use of disposable plastic, aluminium, or any kind of single-use packaging.

Also, guests can hear the story of how and why there is not a single piece of furniture in the house that has been bought new from a store; everything is recycled, reused, refurbished, and repaired to be used for an extended period.
As for the ingredients we use for cooking, we strive to ensure they are fresh and seasonal, sourcing them locally and including as many local producers and individuals engaged in the production or cultivation of fresh vegetables and fruits.
We host local winemakers and a local craft beer producer, as well as a local sparkling water producer, as they can provide their drinks in reusable packaging. Along with them, we serve our homemade juices, locally produced spirits and spring water.
All our guests can hear our story about recycling, reusing and smart waste management which we strive to follow as much as possible. Also, they can buy our handmade souvenirs and support our idea and efforts to become a good example of a sustainable household that could be applied in other places where larger groups of people gather, as well as in private homes.
Welcome to Rural household Krivac in Sremski Karlovci, Serbia!

Hi Ivana! Congratulations on your activity. On the topic of recycling and reuse, do you also organise workshops or activities for children?
